A Welcome
Welcome
I have been calling this blog a health-education site for people with IBS; that includes me.
I want to explain, first, that “My,” as in “My Tummy,” is the generic “my” that Microsoft has given us, as in “My Documents,” “My Computer,” etc. In other words, “My” is all of us. That is, perhaps, all of us who have Irritable Bowel Syndrome.
[This comes after some months of posts: this blog is not about personal experience with the difficulties imposed by IBS. It is a blog about pragmatic self-help with IBS that tries to stick to what is medically sound, so far as that is known.]So when I write about my own experience, I am hoping that what I say is general enough that others will nod and agree–”It’s happened to me, too,” or “I didn’t quite realize it, but that is what was going on with me, too.”
In other words, you could call this the “Me, too” blog! And when I write about research, I hope you will say, “Now I understand it all a bit better.”

I’d really love to hear from you, and add your comments to the blog.
