Today
Today, I took the 28th Align, of the allotment for my first month on Align.

Today I was late for an appointment. I ate a hasty meal including kiwi fruit, and my ride was late, besides. I rushed into the building where we would meet, and into the slow-as-molasses elevator. As I fretted, I noticed that I expected, as all my life I have expected, that my tummy would feel knotted and

Into the third week with Align
The state of my tummy is degrading a bit. I am thinking that Align offers less probiotic than the NSI 15-35 formula I had been taking.

What do I mean by “degrading?”
I am more sluggish–that is, constipated. Also, I have had something like four episodes of reflux in five days. I’ve “medicated up” with both Ranitidine 150 (Zantac ™ 150)) and Prilosec ™. That means that

In my second week of using Align for my IBS, there is not much to tell. I had 3 days of bloating and gas that subsided. Also, in those three days, I was as uncomfortable as six or eight months ago, before I started using any probiotic. The following review of Align begins by examining the packaging, goes on to talk about starting to take Align, and concludes with an offer for a $5 discount Code for ordering Align on the web, plus a call for best suggestions for naming the 1 to 4 scale of reactions to Align.

Examining the Package

OK. We know that Align ™ shipped this reviewer’s first month’s supply in good time. It reached

It’s getting sexier by the minute!

The reason I have produced all the material below, about the role of PRObiotics and PREbiotics in IBS management, is to lay a foundation for discussion of Align ™, the new PRObiotic for IBS that has FDA approval and is supported by clinical trials. There is a lot of hype about Align ™ in the online community of people with IBS, and I want users

When I got home today [July 2nd] and picked up my mail, the package with the free sample of Align had arrived. Now to check with my doctor about changing from my usual probiotic to Align, for managing my IBS.

I am a great fan of ordering what I need for IBS on the web. Orders placed with the Help for IBS website, and from Amazon.com, are particularly fast to arrive. In contrast, according to this thread on the forums that now call themselves Self Help for IBs, the process of shipping Align–the new probiotic from Proctor & Gamble–is much slower. The thread is here.

Creating Buzz

I agreed, I believe, to receive free samples of Align, the Proctor & Gamble probiotic that’s currently showing up in ads on many web sites. It seems that personal blogs, such as ForMyTummy (this blog), Life in a Bathroom, and utenzi at Blogspot have received offers of free samples of Align. We are to take it and presumably report favorably on our blogs, or at least report
