    Yes, soluble fiber (SF) has several important functions:

    * It provides a medium for probiotics to survive and thrive and do their thing
    * It smoothes out the contents of the large intestine
    * It helps establish regularity
    * It works for both IBS-D (Diarrhea) and IBS-C.

Now what other product for IBS does all of that? Maybe the encapsulated probiotics--which means you need to take both.
